Self Help - Wisdom On
Breakthroughs
We all want more wisdom. After
struggling for a while at a relationship or problem we can get self help and
wisdom in the form of having a breakthrough. They feel great. When we've
been dealing with a problem for a while and it goes away or resolves or we
get what we want, it is very life affirming.
There are several methods for creating breakthroughs when we are stuck in
any area. One powerful method is surprisingly simple. And that is to
acknowledge the breakdown. Admit that you are stuck or unhappy or struggling
in some area.
So if you are feeling stale, like your life is in a rut or routine that is
not very enlivening, that is a breakdown. But instead of blaming your
significant other or your job, and instead of bitching and complaining at
bars about your life, you can just acknowledge the breakdown.
When you admit that you are in a breakdown in some area, you can then be
more powerful in addressing that issue. If your love life isn't working,
admitting what the problems are is a good start to fixing them.
So try this simple technique. Where in your life are you having breakdowns?
Where financially? Socially? Spiritually?
Another way to approach this issue and having breakthroughs is to ask
yourself one powerful question. This one question can get to the heart of
problems and set you up for more speedy breakthroughs. The questions is:
What in my life shouldn't be the way that it is?
When you ask yourself what shouldn't be the way that it is for me, you will
start to see where in your life you are stuck and where you can have
potential breakthroughs. That is very useful in clearing the decks to begin
moving things forward.
Now that you have admitted what isn't working, you are set to determine
clearly what you want to do. You can ask for advice or get some coaching or
figure out what the best course of action is.
Wisdom and Self Help Reflections:
What do you think isn't the way it should
be in your life now?
Or, what shouldn't be the way that it is?
Just asking this one question can start to
have you look in useful areas in your life.
Wisdom isn't about taking action or not,
it's about knowing when to do either. Running around doing lots
of things may or may not be wise.
